The New York City Department for the Aging's Grandparent Resource Center and Cornell University Cooperative Extension NYC invite you to The Parenting A Second Time Around (PASTA) workshop.
The Parenting A Second Time Around (PASTA) is a 17 one day a week program geared towards Seniors who are parenting grand kids. It supports grandparents and other relative caregivers who are in a parenting role.
Join Us and learn about:
- Basic parenting principles and practices that really work
- Why children/adolescents think and act the way they do
- Exercise tips for you and your children How to identify problem behaviors
- Legal information to keep your family safe and stable
- How to select and prepare healthy, tasty meals and snacks
The program is hosted by Presbyterian Senior Services and will be held at:
The Andrew Jackson Senior Center (in Andrew Jackson Houses)

Bronx, NY 10451
Participants will receive:
- Two Certificates of Completion from Cornell University Cooperative Extension NYC
- A small stipend at the end of the program will be distributed.
- Metro cards will be distributed for transportation.
- A chance to meet other grandparents/relatives caring for children
